On Thursday, August 1, FATMO Media Group had the opportunity to attend a Toronto Argonauts game, courtesy of complimentary corporate tickets from our friends at MLSE. With warm weather, sunny skies and positive energy lighting up BMO Field, our team had an opportunity to take in an Argos game as we celebrated the one year anniversary of our company. We want to sincerely thank our MLSE friends for the tickets, along with the seats which offered a great view of the football game from high up in the stands.
We were also excited to see our company name reflected on the video board during halftime, under the “Welcome” signage. This was certainly a highlight, in addition to watching our home team take home the big win, with a close score which truly left us at the edge of our seats.
During the first two quarters of the game, the score was particularly difficult for us Argos fans to watch, as the Blue Bombers were in the lead. However, our luck changed after halftime, as the Argos picked up speed and their prowess on the field was clearly on display.
As much as we tried to pay attention to every touchdown on the field, we also couldn’t help but enjoy the music and atmosphere, with Canadian artist Classified performing as well. The 41-year-old rapper (who was born Lucas Boyd) hails from Enfield, Nova Scotia, and is best known for hits such as empowering anthem “Inner Ninja.”
The high energy of a winning game is always ideal for building up momentum, and bringing back crowds for the next game. After the Argos won the game with a 27-28 score, we walked away feeling the satisfaction of a major victory. After all, there is nothing quite like the feeling of knowing that we came there to win- and not just to play!
